ebm-papst: NRG-77 Gas Blower

Posted on Wednesday, June 27th, 2012

Tonar Industries, an ebm-papst franchised distributor, announces news from ebm-papst!

With dimensions 148x127x84mm, the new blower is about 10% more compact than the predecessor model, despite its superior performance. Moreover, the three core design reduces the natural vibrations, minimizing the transmission of additional structure-borne noise, which can be extremely unpleasant in heating installations. An optional integrated mass flow sensor in conjunction with a venturi nozzle and "GasBloc" pneumatic gas valve maintains a constant fuel/air mixture, regardless of atmospheric pressure or of wind or chimney suction. The ignition flame, the starting gas volume and other parameters can be calibrated to the boiler.

Cornell Dubilier:Increased Production of Motor Run and HID Lighting Capacitors

Posted on Monday, June 25th, 2012

Tonar Industries, a Cornell Dubilier franchised distributor, announces news from Cornell Dubilier!

Cornell Dubilier announced that its manufacturing facility in Mexicali, Mexico is poised to take on higher levels of production of both HID Lighting and Motor Run capacitors. AC capacitors are constructed with biaxially oriented metallized polypropylene film wound into a cylindrical roll. End contact is formed by zinc metal spraying all of the layers on each side of the winding which assures  low ESR and low inductance.  Metallized polypropylene film provides a self healing mechanism in which a dielectric breakdown  “clears” away the metallization and isolates that area of the capacitor within microseconds.  These capacitors boast low losses where very low Dissipation Factor and ESR allow for relatively high current density.

Tonar Industries, a Wall Industries franchised distributor, announces news from Tonar Industries!

Wall Industries, Inc. broadens its product offering with the DCMUA series of DC/DC power converters. This series delivers 5 Watts of continuous output power in an encapsulated, shielded metal package measuring just 2.0 x 1.0 x 0.4 inches. The DCMUA series consists of 3.3, 5, 12, and 15VDC single output and +/-5, +/-12, and +/-15VDC dual output models that  operate over 2:1 input voltage ranges of 9-18VDC, 18-36VDC, and 36-75VDC. Standard featuresinclude high efficiency up to 87%, 1500VDC I/O isolation, and -55C to +95C extended operating temperature range.

±The DCMUA series of DC/DC power converters are RoHS compliant and have an MTBF rating of 1,960,000 hours. These converters are also protected against short circuit, over voltage, over load, and reverse voltage conditions. These converters are best suited for use in military applications, battery operated equipment, industry control systems, wireless networks, measurement equipment, telecom, and anywhere isolated, tightly regulated voltages and compact size are required.

L-com ~ In the Age of Right Angles

Posted on Friday, June 22nd, 2012

Tonar Industries, an L-com authorized distributor, announces news from L-com!

There was a time in cabling history where every cable made had an incline connector terminated at each end. But that time ended long ago, though, and slowly but surely angled connectors have become more prevalent. Today, L-com offers a large variety of right-angle cables and adapters for all kinds of connectivity systems.

Adding a right angle to a cable is not as easy as just molding it differently. There are a lot of hurdles to overcome in the design, including how to keep the signal integrity (especially in the case of twisted pairs in Category rated cables or USB), how to allow a space for someone to solder the conductor (as in many right angle coaxial connectors), and how to protect the sensitive solder or crimp points from EMI/RFI and from physical strain. A cable manufacturer has to plan for these things and engineer a viable solution to them. Fortunately, L-com has come a long way from the early ways of right angles, and today you have many superior options to choose from:

Right Angle USB

Right Angle Coaxial Cabling

Right Angle Ethernet Cabling

Right Angle Fiber Optic

Right Angle Adapters
