Mezza-pede Low Profile 1mm Pitch SMT Connectors

 

Mezza-pede low profile 1mm pitch SMT Connectors from Advanced are designed for board-to-board or cable-to-board applications where long-term reliability is required.

With Advanced's enclosed screw-machined socket, 6-finger contact and heavy gold plating, Mezza-pede Connectors pass the 20-day mixed flowing gas (MFG) test required in many telecom and other severe environment and long-life applications. Our over-molded lead frame seals the surface mount leads to prevent solder wicking, ensuring a secure solder joint. The low 4mm stack height makes it ideal for tight mezzanine packaging applications.

BGA Socket Adapter System

 

This new BGA Socket Adapter System from Advanced is a breakthrough in fine pitch socket technology. The patented design alternates male and female pins in an interstitial pattern - offering the reliability of screw-machined terminals with multi-finger contacts in a compact SMT socket. 

At only 2.00mm larger than the device package, this compact design is perfect for development and validation of BGA and LGA devices, production level socketing, and SMT board to board connector applications.

Features:

  • Superior electrical performance - very low signal attenuation up to 1.9 GHz for 0.50mm pitch or 3.5 GHz for 0.65mm pitch
  • Advanced's field proven screw-machined terminals with multifinger contacts, arranged in an interstitial male/female pin pattern are gold plated for gold/gold interconnect

Advanced Interconnections offers a wide variety of standard and custom terminals for use as Test Point Pins. The screw-machined pins offer superior durability over stamped-and-formed products while reducing assembly time and safety concerns.

As with all products from Advanced, unique features and value-added services are available to help reduce overall system costs. Custom design options include unique solder preforms and tape and reel packaging.

Features:

  • Unique rounded terminal head significantly reduces the potential for pinprick injuries to employees' fingers during assembly and subsequent board handling, compared to traditional sharp-pointed .025 inch square-post test pins
  • Available loose or individually packaged in tape and reel pockets to facilitate automated insertion (300 pins per reel)
  • When used on surface mount PC boards, Test Pins with unique solder preforms are available
